Due to the centerline of the AK barrel, and contact points with the shooter, (grip, butt plate) the AK recoil tends to move the muzzle up and to the right under automatic or rapid firing from a right handed shooter. The slant break was born. The basic AK muzzle nut was slanted to compensate for the upward movement of the barrel. Installed on the typical 14mm left hand threads and held in place by the barrel bushing lock and lock spring. The slant brake is typically angled slightly to the right to counteract the sideways movement of the gun under heavy recoil.

Tight fit. No wiggle on my 56-S.

The slant brake is fine. It is almost exactly like the 922r compliant item I purchased elsewhere.
The Front Sight Block, on the other hand, is drilled too far off center-of-bore for the keeper pin, which it houses, to engage the notch on the slant brake.

A must have product to give your AK an authentic look. Made in China to military specs. Same as used in Chinese military and is an authentic Poly Tech part.
